Terms of engagement

Last updated: 29 July 2026

1. Acceptance

By requesting or commissioning services from Digital API Service (“we”, “us”), you agree to these terms. Written engagement letters prevail over marketing copy on this website where they conflict.

2. Services

We provide independent anti-money-laundering audit checks, readiness reviews, sample testing, and related professional advisory work as described in an agreed scope. Website descriptions are informational and do not themselves create an engagement.

3. Client responsibilities

You must provide accurate information, timely access to documents, and a liaison with authority to facilitate fieldwork. Delays in document production may extend timelines or require re-scoping.

4. Intellectual property

Working papers remain our property. The final memorandum and agreed deliverables are licensed to you for internal governance, regulatory, and professional use. You may not resell our reports or present them as your own authorship.

5. Confidentiality

Both parties must protect non-public information obtained during an engagement, except where disclosure is required by law or professional obligation.

6. Fees and payment

Fees, deposits, and invoicing schedules are stated in the engagement letter. Online payment is not offered through this website. Late invoices may pause remaining fieldwork.

7. Limitation of liability

Our work is professional judgement based on samples and information you provide. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Aggregate liability under an engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement, except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. No legal or guarantee outcome

Our findings do not guarantee a favourable supervisory result, license approval, or absence of future control failures. We do not provide legal representation.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan. Courts in Taiwan have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms or related engagements, subject to mandatory consumer protections where applicable.
